2 mL a session, diluted with saline and lidocaine and spread across the whole face in about 100 points, is what an independent Korean study injected in each of three sessions 4 weeks apart, 30 women. The maker’s own face trial states no volume.

Twelve clinic pages, five with a price. Two price the 1 mL syringe, one naming Restylane Skinboosters at $650, one Redensity 1 at $500 and $1,200 for its 3 mL syringe. Two price the session with no volume, $400 to $700, one of them selling three sessions for $1,593; one prices a microneedling delivery by the area. Study amounts are each study’s volume a session; the directions recommend three sessions. Canadian dollars before tax, as the clinic pages state them.

Results & duration

Self-rated improvement in the maker’s face trial

Two trials, both the maker’s, one an unpublished registry record. The face trial compared two sessions with three and had no untreated group; the hand trial left each person’s other hand untreated and rated it blind.

Self-rated, three sessions

Improved at three months

79.2%Three sessions · 19 of 24 people

72%Two sessions · 18 of 25 people

Improved, much improved or very much improved on the Global Aesthetic Improvement Scale, in the person’s own rating; the investigators, not blind, rated 95.8% of the three-session group improved. No untreated group. Results posted to the registry; no paper.

81%Three sessions · 17 of 21 people

The last visit, of those still followed, in their own rating; the investigators rated every one of the 21 improved. The end of the effect was not measured.

How long do skin boosters last?

The directions plan on months, not years. Restylane’s report improvement up to 6 months after the initial treatment in the maker’s clinical studies and recommend a maintenance treatment about every 6 months; Teoxane’s give Redensity 1 an estimated lifetime of at least 3 months and advise a session two to three times a year. The trials measured longer: 81% of the three-session group still rated themselves improved at 18 months in the maker’s face trial, and 87% of treated hands were still rated improved at 15 months in its hand trial, each the last visit measured, not the end of the effect. Health Canada puts dermal fillers generally at six months to a year or more.

Read from the trials and the directions for use. The face trial’s registry record counts adverse events over 18 months and keeps no diaries; the hand trial’s diaries are summarized in its paper, not tabulated. Downtime is not counted in either; the nearest measure is the days the diaries’ reactions took to resolve. The harms on the cards are those reported to Health Canada for dermal fillers, and the pigmentation changes the Restylane directions report in skin types IV to VI.

A physician, a nurse practitioner, or a nurse working under one. The College of Nurses of Ontario’s guideline on aesthetic services (2026) names administering a substance by injection among the controlled acts, so an RN or RPN needs an order or directive from a nurse practitioner or physician, while nurse practitioners are autonomous. Both makers’ directions restrict the product to trained health care practitioners who know the anatomy of the site. Not the results above. Both trials in the figure are Galderma’s: the face trial is Galderma’s, its results existing only as a registry record, and the hand trial was run by Galderma at three hospitals in China, with a blinded evaluator and an untreated hand as the control. The only independent study on the page, from a Korean plastic surgery department, supplies the 2 mL a session in the cost figure; it had 30 women, no comparison group, and reported 77% satisfied. The prospective SKINQARE study, funded by Teoxane, assessed Redensity 1 after RHA1; its results do not describe Redensity 1 used alone.Galderma, NCT02403986 results · Wu 2020, PMID 31769596 · Lee 2015, PMID 26015882 · Rosso 2025, PMID 40509910

Three, then maintenance. Restylane’s directions recommend three treatments 4 weeks apart and a maintenance treatment about every 6 months, at most 5 mL a session and at most 20 mL a year; Teoxane’s advise two to three sessions 3 or 4 weeks apart for Redensity 1, then two to three a year, at most 6 mL a session. The maker’s face trial randomized women to two or three initial sessions and found the three-session group ahead at every visit in their own rating, 79.2% against 72% improved at three months.Restylane Skinboosters directions · Redensity 1 directions · Galderma, NCT02403986 results
